What is Mudjacking?
Concrete lifting and leveling is commonly referred to as “Mud jacking”. Mud jacking is a process that is a time saving alternative to removing and replacing your concrete. It costs thousands less than re-pouring a new slab and is environmentally friendly too. By lifting, leveling, and stabilizing your slab instead of replacing it, you will keep tons of toxic concrete waste out of the landfill.
Mudjacking is a simple process, and one that we are very experienced in. First, two inch holes are drilled through the concrete slab, where needed. A liquid mud and grout mixture, known as “slurry,” is pumped under the slab. The slurry spreads out and fills the void, causing the slab to rise to the desired height. The holes are then patched using a non-shrinking concrete mixture.
Mudjacking is a fast, efficient way to lift and level sinking concrete. The area serviced is reusable within hours.
We offer quality, reliable services performed by experienced professionals. We have an A+ rating from the Better Business Bureau. Our service area includes a 30 mile radius around Bradenton.
Why Has My Concrete Settled?
There are many different reasons why your concrete settled. The most common reason is that when new homes are constructed the backfill around the foundation is not compacted properly. This creates voids and the concrete settles. Erosion also causes concrete to settle. If your concrete slab has an open crack, control joint, or other opening, water running into it will eventually wash out the supporting soil and the slab will settle and crack.
Large vehicles, pool pavers, landscaping material, tree roots, and rodents accelerate the settlement process! Even Father Time can cause your concrete to slowly settle until one day when it becomes a hazard or nuisance.
I have pavers on my pool deck and driveway. Can you lift, level, and stabilize them?
Yes, we can correct your paver pool deck or driveway as long as your pavers were installed over an existing concrete slab. We remove specific pavers and drill only into the concrete slab. This ensures that your pavers remain attractive and structurally intact. Once the concrete slab is lifted into position, the pavers are reinstalled.
